Wildcats and Lady Wildcats finish XC season at Regionals

The Lady Wildcats, Senior Jonel Emlaw and Junior Dani Whittaker, ran in the first event of the day. Dani was the first Wildcat across the finish line in 21st place and a time of 22:40. She missed setting a new Personal Record by only 4 seconds. Jonel finished her last race in 59th place and a time of 27:57. The field was a total of 74 finishers for the Division 4 Girls.

The Wildcat boys were projected to finish near the bottom for teams and smashed that prediction by finishing 6th. The team was composed of Senior Hunter Green, Junior Matthew Bolinger, and the five Freshmen Nic Shepard, Isaac Glazier, Eli Glazier, Max Nelson and Shawn Crawford. First Wildcat across the finish line was Nic at 38th place and a PR of 20:02. Next Wildcat was Senior Hunter at 40th place and a time of 20:13. The next Wildcat was  Isaac in 42nd place and a time of 20:24, just staying ahead of Junior Matthew who finished in 43 place and a new PR of 20:44 smashing his old PR of 21:55 from the previous Saturday. Eli was next rounding out the scoring runners at 47th place and a time of 20:55. The first blocker was Max Nelson in 53rd place and a time of 21:09 and the second blocker was Shawn Crawford in 54th place and a new PR of 21:21 breaking his old PR by 24 seconds from the previous Saturday.

Coach McCauley has a lot of potential next season with these Wildcat runners. We wish the best to our Seniors Jonel Emlaw, Hunter Green, and Tyler McNeil.
