Lady Wildcats on the road to play the Lady Huskies of Atlanta.

Wolverine in their second Atlanta road trip this season.

 

In the JV match, the Lady Wildcats looked excited after a long wait for another game after a series of Varsity only contests, excluding Mackinaw City. In the first set the Lady Cats played a few good volleys but had issues with the ceiling in this two story gym. Atlanta won the set 25-12. The second set saw momentum continue for the home team. The Lady Cats had a few tough breaks. Atlanta won the set 25-8. Final set for the JV and on this night they just couldn't get a rally going. Atlanta won the set 15-8 and the match 3-0.

In the Varsity contest, the Lady Cats were looking to overcome Atlanta's home gym advantage. In the first set the Lady Cats traded points and had a tie after 3 servers each 6-6. Atlanta then rallied and took the set winning 25-8. Match score 1-0 Atlanta. The second set the Varsity Cats had the same issue the JV had with the ceiling allowing Atlanta to run away with another set win. Set score 25-5 Atlanta. Match score 2-0. The Lady Wildcats needed to rally in the third set if they wanted a chance for a set win. The Lady Huskies on the other hand were looking to make it an early night. Even though Wolverine had some nice serves and a few great volley exchanges, on this night Atlanta was the better team. Atlanta won the set 25-10. Atlanta won the match 3-0.
